What's in my Fragrance Cabinet?

I saw this on someone else's blog a few days ago (so sorry I can't remember her name and can't find the Tweet and a blogging Twitter RT'd) and loved the idea. It's a short but sweet blog showing what I smell like on a day to day basis and what I save for more special occasions ;)

I have so many "everyday" type fragrances that get thrown from one bag to the next or the types that I spritz around a room to make it smell nice and fresh. These are a few of my favourites...

"Special Occasion" fragrances
I very rarely treat myself to the perfume which I love normally as they're a bit more pricey but I always end up putting them on my birthday or Christmas list. I've used the same 2 "special occasion" fragrances for as long as I can remember. I first brought Gucci when I was in year 11 at school and we went to Paris on a school trip and have used it more than any other fragrance in the last 8 years! Jimmy Choo I smelt on one of my gorgeous ladies about 4 years ago and have gone through a couple of bottles since.

This year's "Summer" fragrance
Each year I end up picking up a fragrance from duty free or a cheap perfume shop when I'm on holiday however this year I've picked up one already and it's the new Jimmy Choo Exotic. I'm not a massive fan of the bottle but the scent is lovely. It's very similar to the original Jimmy Choo however it's a bit more floraly with a stronger, longer lasting scent!


 
It's not really a tag but I would love to see what everyone else wears when it comes to perfume and whether you change your perfume to suit the season or you just have the same collection all year round.

A bit of a different one for this blog but I had such a fantastic day with the team at Lush in Bath within the Spa that I couldn't not write about it.. Last week I took my gorgeous best friend, Laura, on a surprise mini-hen do before she gets married later in the year as I wanted to do something just the 2 of us to say thank you for just being so generally fantastic in my life so we had a girly weekend in Bath. Beauty Bay Bragging Rights Haul!

2 blog posts in one week... who'd have thought!  I was so bloody late on this one and I'm not the most "trendy" person when it comes to make up or being quick on the sales, but I did bag a few bargains in the Beauty Bay Bragging Rights sales and got some new goodies with 30-50% discount. I'll do a full blog post with reviews on the products I LOVE but in the mean time, this is what I treated myself too.  Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Powder Definitely excited to try this one to see if the magic really works and I'm sure if it does then it's something I'll be purchasing closer to the wedding. Empties: Winter Candles

OK so this is only about 1/8 of the candles I went through over Christmas but the rest were the large Yankee candles and got in the way when they were empty so we chucked them but yes.. as you can guess, I went through a shitload of candles as always over the the run up to Christmas. As everyone does, I had my favourites that return each year; the Yankee Candle Red Apple Wreath and Christmas Cookie were returns to 2016 as well as a mini Snowflake Cookie that I had left over from 2015. A Woodwick return was Fireside which I found cheap in TKMaxx as it didn't have a lid. Talking of WoodWick, I also picked up the Pineapple WoodWick early Autumn time in the sale but it actually didn't smell as fruity as I expected and had more of a cocktail smell so I kept it for the cocktail season - plus the sound of the crackling is just perfect for cosy nights in!
